Our Mission
CCF utilizes state-of-the-art, patented technology to supply both carbon dioxide removal credits to offset emissions and carbon negative RNG to keep fueling companies to reach net zero. Cowboy’s process supports an all of the above energy strategy including advancing the carbon economy.
Our Method
Cowboy utilizes agricultural byproducts to feed methanogenic organisms through repurposed alternative feedstock coal seams in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin (PRB) area. The output is Renewable Natural Gas (CH4), while the CO2 permanently binds to the coal below Earth’s surface.

Cowboy Clean Fuels is leveraging natural systems to generate the most durable and high-quality carbon removal credits in the marketplace, while producing significant volumes of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).
