Johnny Smith serves as the Controller of Cowboy Clean Fuels, bringing over two decades of accounting expertise, including 15 years of specialized experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, Johnny has led the implementation of efficient accounting processes and reporting frameworks across both public and private sectors, consistently emphasizing accuracy and timeliness.
Before joining Cowboy Clean Fuels, Johnny held progressively senior roles within the energy sector, most recently serving as Assistant Operational Controller at Fundare Resources Company, LLC—a privately held oil and gas producer operating in Colorado and Wyoming. He began his professional career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he gained valuable experience in both the Audit and Advisory practices, working with clients across diverse industries including real estate investment trusts (REITs) and manufacturing.
Johnny earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver.
